Weissensee
“Germany can do series” – this attribution we owe to a large extent to Annette Hess and her idea of Weissensee. The ARD television series has been very well received both in Germany and abroad. The author, who was represented by the agency from 2001-2019, has masterly succeeded in telling a story of the intrigues between two important families in the GDR. Annette Hess manages to let the abysses of the human soul seem plausible and comprehensible, thus drawing a multi-layered picture of the individual characters.
